Kaz Takahashi Profile カズ タカハシ　けいれき カズ　タカハシ (本名：高橋和男)　略歴

1948年鹿児島県生まれ
陸上自衛隊勤務中、301写真中隊で写真を習う以後独学。
日本で新聞社勤務の後、1983年フリーランスで渡米、スポーツ新聞社の契約特派員となり主に米国のスポーツ取材。
スポーツ取材のかたわら2005年4月、約７年かけて全米５8カ所の全国立公園を踏破撮影した。
現在は国立公園の撮影を続けながら、フロリダのマナティからカナダの北極グマまでを目標に北米大陸の野生動物を追いかけている。
現在米国フロリダ州、フォートローダデール市在住。

著書案内/写真展
2002年２―３月、The Nature Gallery, Raleigh, NCで「北米の生動物」の写真展。
２００２年５月、東京銀座キヤノンサロンで「北米の野生動物」写真展開催。
２００５年７月、学研より「アメリカの遺産」出版。
２００６年６月−７月、キヤノンギャラリーSで「アメリカの遺産」写真展。
２００６年６−９月、フロリダ州、モリカミミュージアムで写真展「能登の海」

PROFILE OF KAZ TAKAHASHI (February 2007)

Born April 20,1948 in Kagoshima, Japan.
Learned photography while serving for four years with Japanese Army.
After separation from  Army worked eight years for a Japanese newspaper.

Arrived in 1983 to work as a free lance photographer in the United States.
Commissioned mainly to take sports photographs under contract with Japanese Sports Newspaper.

In 1997 began photographing U.S. national parks and wildlife. Have visited all 58 national parks and more than 20 national monuments and wild life sanctuaries.

• Publication and photo exhibits

*In March 2002 the Nature Gallery, Raleigh, NC exhibited my images.
*In May 2002 Canon Gallery in Tokyo sponsored an exhibit of my photographs, “Wildlife of North America”.
*In July 2005. Japanese publisher published my images of national parks a book ("America's Nature Heritage").
*In May 2006 Canon Gallery-S in Tokyo sponsored one-month exhibit my photographs, “America’s Nature Heritage.”
*In May −September 2006 Morikami  Museum in West Palm Beach Florida sponsored three month show an exhibit my photographs of Noto Peninsula (a small Japanese fishing village)

My photographs published in various Japanese magazines and calendars.
Currently I am preparing a book on North American wildlife ranging from Florida Manatees to Arctic Polar Bears.
